Mahalia Jackson's Deviled Eggs

Deviled Eggs

12 hard-cooked eggs, chilled and shelled

1 teaspoon dry mustard

¾ cup mayonnaise

½ teaspoon dill seed

½ teaspoon salt

½ teaspoon paprika

Cut eggs in half lengthwise. Remove yolks, being careful not to break whites. Place yolks in small bowl.

Add mustard, mayonnaise, dill, and salt. Beat until smooth. Return yolk mixture to whites and sprinkle top with paprika. Arrange on lettuce-lined platter.
